Bill Burrows

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill Burrows—a man of grit, humor, faith, and just enough stubbornness to do things his own way.

William (Bill) Burrows was born on October 21, 1967, and entered the gates of heaven on April 26, 2026. In his 58 years, he lived a life marked by perseverance, laughter, and an unshakable spirit. He touched countless lives with his quick wit, steady wisdom, and the kind of humor that could lighten even the heaviest days. A man of strong faith, he loved the Lord with all his might, and we find peace knowing where he now rests.

An entrepreneur through and through, he proudly owned and operated Bill Burrows Pro-Cision Transmission for 28 years. To him, there was no such thing as “just a customer”—only friends. He often used his shop as a ministry, sharing his faith freely and living it out daily. And if you spent more than a few minutes with him, chances are you also heard a passionate take or two on politics—whether you asked for it or not. Donald Trump being his ultimate favorite of course.

Raised in the racing world and a previous owner of KMS Speedway, he spent many years at the tracks in Kennedale, Texas, doing what he loved most—going fast and living fully. Racing street stock cars at Cowtown brought him immense joy. Even in recent years, he remained deeply connected to the racing community through his sponsorship of John Rickett’s #5 RaceSaver sprint car, never straying far from the roar of an engine.

He leaves behind his beloved cat, Princess KitKat, who brought him comfort, companionship, and just enough attitude to keep life interesting.

His wife, Nonnie, the love of his life and the center of his world. For nearly 30 years, they stood side by side through everything life brought their way. They loved traveling, attending live concerts, sporting events and spending time with friends and family. Their love was steadfast and enduring—a partnership that will continue long beyond this life.

He was a proud father to his three beautiful daughters and two amazing son-in-laws—Samantha, Shannon, Ashley, Troy and Aaron—and if you knew him, you knew he never needed much encouragement to brag about them.

But his favorite title of all was “Poppi.” To his three beloved grandchildren—Violet, Brantlee, and Lennox—he was larger than life. Whether it was beach trips, Disney World adventures, or rides on dirt bikes and four-wheelers, Poppi made sure their lives were filled with unforgettable memories (and probably a little more fun than their parents approved of). The love he poured into them will carry on for a lifetime.

Bill was a fighter his entire life, but only those closest to him truly know how hard he fought to stay here in the end. We are incredibly proud of all he endured and take comfort in knowing his victory has been won.

He leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, laughter, and faith that will live on in all who knew him. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed—but never forgotten.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Bill Burrows will be held on May 18, 2026 at 6pm at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas. All who knew and loved him are invited to join in honoring a life well lived—stories, laughter, and maybe a little racing talk encouraged.
