It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to William "Bill" Anderson, who passed away on June 22, 2023. Bill was born on April 9, 1939, in Fort Worth, Texas to Annie Lois and Lindsey Elwood Anderson.
Bill led a fulfilling life as a machinist at Robertson Fleet Service in Fort Worth, Tx and as a car mechanic. He also had a unique talent of fixing hair dryers and was always there to lend an ear or accompany his loved ones on their grocery shopping trips. If there was a problem that needed solving, Bill was the one to call - he truly was a man of all trades.
When it came to his hobbies and interests, Bill loved nothing more than being out in nature. He had a passion for camping and taking care of his yard. Special family and friends remember him as "such a cool dad", which speaks volumes about his character.
Bill's kindness and selflessness extended beyond his family circle; he always went above and beyond for those around him. He will be remembered as an incredible listener, offering sage advice wherever it was needed.
Bill is survived by his sister, Joy Athey; nephew, Jeffrey Athey; son, Ron Anderson; daughters, Debra (Ron) Meyer, Sherry (Robert) Averitt, Peggy (Don) Newman; granddaughters, Jennifer (Aaron) Rutherford, Deanna (John) Hill; grandsons, Garrett (Nikki) Good, Nathaniel and Nicholas Newman; great-grandchildren, Hannah McCreight, Dylan Hill, Tyler Hill, Jackson Kivlin and Carson Rutherford. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years Linda Anderson; mother, Annie Lois Anderson; father, Lindsey Elwood Anderson; brother, Ernest Anderson; granddaughter, Missy Nicodet.
A visitation will take place from 6:00PM-8:00 PM on June 28th at Skyvue Funeral Home located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Mansfield, TX 76063.
