Melissa Elaine Widener

Melissa Elaine Widener, age 78, passed away on March 18, 2022, in Jacksboro, Texas. She was born on January 15, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held 4 PM Friday, April 8, 2022 at Skyvue Memorial in Mansfield, Texas.

Melissa married Jerry Joe Widener on August 4th, in Texas. She worked as a legal secretary for many years. She will be truly missed.

Melissa is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Cox and Dorothy Reeves; husband, Jerry Joe Widener; daughter, Christi Dyson; and sister, Deborah C. Wheeler.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her siblings, Victoria Vaught and husband Dennis and Van Cox; step-son, Joseph Bernard Widener; grandchildren, Kayla Dyson and Kory Dyson and wife Victoria; 4 great grandchildren, Adrian, Paris, Roger and Maryetta.
