Walter Lee Tennison Sr. was taken home Friday, July 25, 2025.
Born December 8, 1950, in Jacksonville, TX to Martha and Elmer Tennison, Walter was the youngest of many siblings. He grew up in the Blackjack community where he learned the meaning of being a true “country boy.” Once he became a teenager, during the summer, he would travel to the city of Fort Worth, TX to work with his brother at Harris Acoustical. He then became a permanent associate for the company and worked there for over 35 years. During these years he obtained his CDL where he was a delivery driver.
He was also a member of a quartet group where he loved to sing gospel. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music. No matter where he was, he was always the life of the party, especially in his clubhouse. He was a faithful usher at United Faith in Fort Worth, TX for many years.
Preceding him in death are his parents Martha and Elmer Tennison, his wife Rosalind (Capri) Tennison, and a plethora of brothers and sisters.
He leaves Walter Lee Tennison Jr. Detra Jenkins, Shelby Hill, Angela and Edward Taylor, and a host of other family members and friends to cherish his memories.
