Wade O'Neal Cassidy, a beloved figure whose life was a tapestry woven with love, service, and dedication, passed away on January 17, 2026, in Burleson, Texas, at the age of 62. Born on March 24, 1963, in Houston, Texas, Wade graced the world with his warm heart and unwavering spirit.

A proud graduate of RL Paschal High School in 1981, Wade furthered his education with an HVAC certification from Tarrant County College, laying the groundwork for a commendable career. For over two decades, he contributed his talents to Texas Health Resources, where he served in both the engineering and real estate departments. His dedication to excellence in his work mirrored the tenacity he exhibited throughout his life.

Wade's commitment to service extended beyond his civilian career; he honorably served in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Infantryman from 1984 to 1991 and continued in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1996. His military service reflected his spirit of resilience and duty, traits that he carried into every aspect of his life.

A joyful soul, Wade was an avid lover of baseball, cherishing the moments spent on the field. He found great joy in coaching YMCA little league, nurturing the talents of his son Chase and daughter Caroline and sharing countless memories attending their high school games. Together with his son, Chase, he actively participated in an adult league, fostering their bond through the sport they both adored.

In the cherished company of family and friends, Wade built a life filled with laughter and love. He married the love of his life, Janie C. Rodriguez, on June 29, 1984, in Tacoma, Washington. Their enduring partnership blossomed into a beautiful family, including their devoted daughter Caroline and son Chase, who together with his wife Marissa, brought Wade immense pride and joy. He delighted in being a grandfather to Nathaniel Eli Cassidy, Mason Jerimiah Cassidy, and Liam O'Neal Moreno. Wade’s siblings, Virginia Ruthruff and Gwen Harris, along with their respective husbands Terry and Don, stood by his side throughout his journey, providing unwavering support and love.
