Vickie Lynn Mckelvy

June 28, 1955 — July 13, 2023

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Vickie Lynn McKelvy. She passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 13, 2023. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength and full of love for those who went before her. She is now celebrating with all the family and friends that were awaiting her at the glorious golden gates of heaven.

Vickie was born on June 28, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Billye Delores Caldwell and Frederick William Baker. She was a big Sister to Debra Rademakers and Susan Sedlacek.

In May 1977 Vickie married James Franklin McKelvy. Between them they have 5 daughters and 1 son. She was a Firey Red head that was the Boss of their family and household. If she was not happy you knew it and knew to be prepared for what was coming.  It was her way or no way! She was strong willed and stubborn at times. She had a huge heart that loved adored her family and friends. If you needed something she was always there to help in any way possible. Her Husband, Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren were her greatest joy. She assisted us all in many of our accomplishments and shared our passions and hobbies. She was there in our happy times and felt our pain in our saddest times.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Billye and Frederick. Son, Mickey Mckelvy and Grandson, Marshal McKelvy.

She is survived by her husband, James Mckelvy, their 5 daughters and their spouses, Brandi Holcomb, Candice Hilton, Misty Ellis, Nichole Gervin and Paula Dodson.  15 Grandchildren, Clay, Caitlin, Corbin and Camryn Hilton, Kristopher and Kaiden Sam Holcomb, Emma, Austin and Adaline Gervin, Jimmy and Jamie Letzkus, Nikka McKelvy, Shyann White and Grace Dodson. 6 Great Grandchildren, Madelyn Mckelvy, Lizzy Richardson, Phoenix and Isabella Letzkus, Abel and Mason Eddington-McKelvy.

"Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
