Travis Dale Lancaster completed his journey and came to rest on June 15, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 50.
Travis was born in Morrison, Illinois on October 18, 1973, to Gregory Cole Lancaster and Judy Jane McColm. He lived in Alamosa, Colorado for a period of time before moving to Texas. Travis married Rachel Christine Elizabeth Dethloff in Lillian, Texas on June 07, 2008.
His education included some college courses, earning his CDL, First Responder training as well as becoming a Heavy Equipment Operator (mainly getting things stuck). He worked for Arlington Landfill, TxDot, Arrow Trucking, Dart Trucking, PTL Trucking, Melton Truck Lines, Redneck Scuba diving/ Search and Rescue and the Lillian Fire Department. He was a Christian man and attended Happy Hill Church. Travis enjoyed camping, fishing, building things, horseback riding and diving.
We, the family would like to thank all the people who came into his life’s journey which made him the man he became.
Travis is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Lancaster; grandfathers, Sidney Lancaster, Owen McColm, Sr. and Howard Shockey; grandmothers, Jessie McColm and Geradine Lancaster.
He leaves to carry his love and memory down the road, his loving wife, Rachel Christine Elizabeth Lancaster; daughters, Alisha, Destini and Stormi; son, Jakob; granddaughter, Paislie May Elizabeth Lancaster; father, Gregory Cole Lancaster; sisters, Casey Hays, Janie Deel and her husband Robert; brother, Shane Lancaster and his wife De; nieces, Amber, Ashlee, China, Sky, Allyson, Ruby and Georgia; nephews, Nathan, Aaron, Dalton and Trey; along with too many to count in Colorado, along the road as well as here in Texas.
