It is with great sadness that the family of William Charles (Chuck) Thurman, age 57, informs you that he suddenly went to his heavenly home on June 6, 2018.
Funeral: 2 pm Tuesday, June 12,2018 at Skyvue Victoria Chapel. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Monday, June 11,2018 at Skyvue Chapel.
He was born on November 2, 1960, in Monroe, LA to James and Doris Thurman. Chuck loved to love people. He was the true definition of a servant’s heart, selflessly giving of himself at all times. For 39 years, Chuck worked on the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer where he was a mentor to many. He was an avid lover of life and prided himself on being the ultimate family man. He was the utmost lover of breakfast, entertaining, hanging out with friends, spending time with his grandbabies and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He instilled and impacted all those he met with a zest for life, commitment to family and friends, and the power of a smile. His loving, kind, giving demeanor will be forever greatly missed.
Chuck is preceded in death by his father, James Thurman.
Survivors: He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 38 years, Debbie; his children Dustin Thurman, Mallory and Stephen Walls; his five beloved grandchildren Jacey, Kylie, Kale, Kinley, and Jensen; his mother Doris Thurman; his brother Jerry Thurman; sister Kelly Szabo; and nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a timeless legacy of love and laughter with a host of family and friends that will hold tight to amazing memories.
