Burleson

Burleson, Tx  - Steve Grayson Citty, 77, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Arlington Memorial Hospital after complications from leukemia.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Linda (Cravin) Citty (whom he always referred to as Darlin); his son, Steven Citty; his daughter, Rindy Citty Laquey and her husband Jason Laquey; and two grandchildren, Lauren and Kade Laquey.
Steve, the son of Lex and Irene Citty, was born on November 3, 1946, and raised in Redland, Oklahoma.  He graduated from Haworth High School in 1965.  He attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, obtaining an associate degree.  Upon graduation, he moved to Arlington, TX, and went to work for General Motors Corporation where he retired after 30 years. In addition, he was an Army Reservists for six years.

Steve took the most pride in spending time with his family.  He could often be found tinkering around in his workshop keeping himself busy.  He was very particular and took much pride in his landscape. He enjoyed hunting and traveling before being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2004.  He enjoyed teaching both grandchildren to drive his beloved Tahoe as well as fishing with his grandson and working puzzles with his granddaughter. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.  In recent years he could often be found in his favorite leather Lazyboy recliner drinking a Coke or enjoying ice cream while watching television. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who had the privilege and joy of knowing and loving him.

Steve will be laid to rest at Redland Cemetery on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a donation to The Leukemia Society.
