Stephen (Steve) Scott Russell, of Burleson, Tx, passed away on May 27th, 2026, in Fort Worth, Tx.
Stephen was born in Cleburne, Tx to Randall Scott Russell and Linda Susan Ryter on June 21st, 1973.
He went to school in Burleson for most of his school years until later moving to Fort Worth where he attended Western Hills High school. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Biology. Over the years Steve worked in telecom, marketing, web design, web development, construction and a few other areas. He was always looking for the next big thing. Being an entrepreneur is hard work, and he never shied away from it. Besides working, Steve loved traveling, visiting family, helping people, politics, cooking and spoiling his sweet pup Lexi.
Stephen was never married or had kids, but it didn’t keep him from loving everyone else’s. He spent much of his young life volunteering at Kids Camps and working at Cook’s Children’s hospital.
Stephen was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert Lee Ryter and Margie Nell Ryter, paternal grandparents Billy Russell Sr
and Barabara “Jeanne” Boyd. His Uncle James “Jimmy” Ryter. His great Uncle Ott and Aunt Carolyn Gilmore with whom he spent much of his childhood and developed a love for travel.
Stephen is survived by his parents, sister Tamara Michelle Russell; her children Michael Wayne Jobe II, Bethannie Paige Jobe, Olivia “Koda” Grace Thomas, Jacob Lee Smith and a handful of great nephews.
