Funeral: 11 am Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Retta Baptist Church, Burleson, TX.
Burial: 2:30 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Holly Hills Memorial Park, Granbury, TX.
Melvin Smith was born on July 17, 1928 to Lawrence and Vera Smith at Maud, Oklahoma.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Vera Smith, son Michael Reed smith, brothers, Elvin, Bob and R.B. Smith
Melvin got his Batchelor's and Master's from North Texas State University
Survivors: Wife of 70 years, Regena Smith; daughter, Renee Murray and husband Tony; grandchildren; Kendra Kimbrough and Justin Kimbrough; great grandson Kayden; sister, Elvina Selby; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
