Joseph “Joe” Edward Smith, of Burleson, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the age of 56.
Celebration of Life: 2:00pm Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Calvary Church, Fort Worth, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider you make a donation to make a memorial garden with perennials in Joe’s memory.
Joe was born on May 12, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas to Frank and Shirley Smith (Crouse).
He attended Eastern Hills High School and then went on to work for GXO. He attended Calvary Church in Fort Worth, Texas. On February 12, 1993, he married his one and only, Susan Renee Thomas, and they were just shy of celebrating 30 beautiful years together.
Joe was an avid music and car lover. He could light up any room that he walked into and is going to be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Jean Crouse; brothers, Frank Smith Jr. and John Smith.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Susan Renee Smith; son, Timothy Stephan Smith; daughter, Tiffany Suzanne Smith; parents, Frank and Cookie Smith; sisters, Mary Smith and Theresa Elizabeth Smith-DuBose and Edward Kevin Dubose; nephews, Harold “Ryon” Smith, Joshua Smith, Ralph David Dehelius; other special family members and friends, Darren and Susan Plowman, Chris Miller, Jeff Hofferber, plus too many other friends to list. Joe’s family would also like to give a special thank you to the Thomas family for taking Joe in and always treating him like one of their own.
