Sharon Kay Johnson of Alvarado, Texas, passed peacefully surrounded by family May 17, 2025, at the age of 77.
On a beautiful August 8th day in 1947, Sharon was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Jim Larson and Elva Whitecotton. In 1965 she married John E. White and had three wonderful boys together until their separation. January 20, 1973, she married Clarance Johnson in Fort Worth, Texas and had the last baby boy. Through her working years, Sharon was a substitute teacher for Bowie High School and later was a manager for J&G’s Oasis. Sharon was a bright and outgoing woman and a friend to all animals. She enjoyed playing with and caring for horses, racing, and an especially strong love for her cats.
Those welcoming Sharon to her heavenly home are, John E. White; her husband, Clarance J. Johnson Sr.; her parents, Jim Larson and Elva Whitecotton Larson.
Those left to cherish and keep Sharon’s memory alive are her sons, Clarance J. Johnson Jr. and his wife Sheronda, David Andrew White and his wife Donna, John White and his wife Robin, Eric White and his wife Jaime; brother, Jimmy Larson and his wife Laura; grandchildren, Clarance “CJ” Johnson III, Parker White, Aiden White, Devonta Johnson, Justin White, Jarad White; 2 great-grandchildren; niece, Lindy Larson; and childhood best friend, Michele Melaney of Alaska.
From the family: At this time, we are reminded of the value of family and friends. Your outpouring of love is a source of strength and comfort. A life well lived and now well remembered will be the legacy of Sharon Kay Johnson. May God keep each one of you covered.
