Rudy C Retiz

April 1, 1948 — October 17, 2025

Rudy C. Retiz passed away October 17, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Rudy was born April 1, 1948, in Austin, Texas, to parents Marcelino Gonzales and Gracie Gonzales.

We are celebrating the life of Rudy Retiz — a man whose quiet strength, kind heart, an generous spirit touched everyone who knew him.

Rudy wasn’t one to make a big fuss or draw attention to himself. He didn’t have to — his presence spoke for itself. Whether it was through a warm smile, a helping hand, or just sitting nearby, you always knew Rudy cared. He showed his love not through grand gestures, but through everyday moments — a laugh shared over oldies on the radio, a trip to the casino for a bit of fun, or time spent surrounded by the people he loved most: his family.

Family meant everything to Rudy, and at the heart of that love was his wife, Juanita. Together, they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and deep respect for each other — a partnership that lasted 53 wonderful years. The way they cared for one another, supported one another, and faced life side by side is something everyone in the family admired. Their love was quiet but strong, the kind that teaches by example — showing us what commitment and companionship truly mean.

Rudy loved his family dearly, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with them.

He especially loved the holidays — the food, the laughter, the togetherness. Easter was always a big deal in the Retiz home, and you could feel how happy Rudy was to see everyone gathered, enjoying each other’s company. Those celebrations were more than just traditions; they were reflections of what Rudy valued most: love, connection, and family.

And of course, there were the oldies — the soundtrack of his life. You could almost always count on hearing some good music playing, the kind that made him tap his foot and smile. Those songs will forever remind us of him — timeless, warm, and full of heart.

So today, rather than focusing on what we’ve lost, let’s remember everything Rudy gave us: his kindness, his laughter, his patience, and his example of a life well-lived and well-loved.

We’ll miss you deeply, Grandpa Rudy, but we’ll carry your love with us — in the holidays you made so special, in the music you enjoyed, and in the countless memories you helped create.
