Roy Lee Scheumack, a devoted family man and skilled self-employed carpenter, passed away on June 12, 2026, in Azle, Texas. Born on June 6, 1955, to Thurman Elroy Scheumack and Lee Ray Todd in Fort Worth, Texas, Roy brought warmth and steadfast dedication to all aspects of his life.
A graduate of Carter-Riverside High School in 1973, Roy built a meaningful career in carpentry, crafting a legacy marked by his craftsmanship and integrity. His talents extended beyond his work; he was a passionate enthusiast of astronomy, often gazing into the stars, and he found joy in playing the guitar and engaging in hamm radio communications, hobbies that reflected his curiosity and love of connection.
He took great pride in his faith and community involvement as a dedicated member of Sandy Beach Baptist Church in Azle, Texas, and Riverside Evangelist Temple. His spiritual life was a cornerstone that inspired those around him.
He is lovingly remembered by his spouse, Jaimee Scheumack, who shared a life filled with partnership and mutual support. Roy’s legacy continues through his children: daughters Felicia Pineda and her husband Pablo Pineda, Angela Scheumack, and son Joel Scheumack. His family was further enriched by his grandchildren Tyler Leggett, Astaria Leggett, Chris Leggett Jr., Austin Leggett, Benjamin Leggett, Alex Leggett, and Asher Pineda, who were a source of immense pride and joy.
Roy is also survived by his brother, Thurman Scheumack, as well as his niece, Lasha Douglass, and nephews Eric Scheumack, Ivan Scheumack, and Jeshua Scheumack, all of whom carry forward the bonds and memories he cherished.
Throughout his life, Roy Lee Scheumack exemplified dedication to family, faith, and craft. His memory will remain a guiding light to all who knew him, reflecting a life well-lived and deeply respected.
