David (Dave) Anthony Ronchetto, 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Fort Worth, TX. His parents Tony Ronchetto Jr. and Marguerite Biondi Ronchetto and his beloved wife Noureen Byrd Ronchetto preceded him in death.
He was born June 9, 1938 in Macon, MO and graduated from Bevier High School at the age of 16. In high school, he excelled as a student and shortstop on the baseball team. Thereafter, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Northeast Missouri State Teachers College. He joined the United States Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan where he played baseball throughout Japan for the Army’s team. After serving his country, he returned to the US and was a talented enough baseball player to make the Kansas City A’s Minor League team.
When his baseball days ended, he taught high school business math and typing for four years in Jamesport, MO. During this time, he did coursework towards his Master’s degree and helped his father with their large family farm. He also co-owned a piano bar with a friend from college. He then had a successful business career and eventually retired as the Vice President of Shoreline Boat Trailers in Arlington, TX.
He spent many wonderful years of retirement in a lake house on Lake Lone Star in Daingerfield, TX. He enjoyed fishing, boating, attending church and volunteered countless hours for the Lions Club. Some of his favorite activities were distributing American flags to local businesses for the holidays and donating time to the programs that assisted the blind. During his final year in East Texas, he received the volunteer of the year award.
After East Texas, he and Noureen relocated to a retirement community in Jackson, MS where Sara ‘Beth’ and Don Williams assisted them until Noureen’s passing. He eventually returned to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to spend time with family and friends and root on the Texas Rangers.
