Roberto Lopez, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, in Arlington, Texas. Born on July 4, 1949, in Rio Grande City, Texas, Roberto lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to family, a love of the outdoors, and enduring relationships.
Roberto was married to Maria Lopez from February 28, 1965, until her passing. Together, they shared many years of companionship and love. He was the devoted son of the late Cipriano and Romana Lopez and brother to the late Leonel, Guadalupe, Cipriano Jr., Olga, and Vicky. Their memories continue to be a guiding light for Roberto's family and friends.
Known for his passion for fishing, hunting, camping, and cookouts, Roberto cherished the simple pleasures of life and the joy of spending time in nature. These interests brought him great happiness and were often shared with his loved ones.
Roberto’s legacy lives on through his children and their families. He is survived by his loving daughters Ana, Esmeralda, and Araceli; and sons Robert Lopez and wife Wanda, David Lopez and wife Sandie, and Rene Lopez and wife Christy. His grandchildren—Justin, Marcus, Jonathan, Priscilla, Desiree, Abigail, Jr., Victoria, Daniela, Alexis, Andres, Alyssa, Allison, and Aaliyah—along with his great-granddaughter Avielle, will forever treasure the wisdom and kindness he imparted. He is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends who were touched by his generous spirit.
Family, friends, and all those who knew Roberto are invited to a visitation on May 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Both events will be held at Skyvue Funeral Home, located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Mansfield, Texas 76063.
Roberto Lopez’s life was one of warm-heartedness, dedication, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
