Robert Elling Fossett has peacefully passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 55.
Robert was born on October 16, 1970, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ina Mary and Francis ‘Frank’ Alvin Fossett. Attending Texas State Technical College in Waco, he earned an Associate’s in Electrical Engineering. He went on to work for Atmos Energy for 26 years as a Senior Supply Chain Specialist. Robert married Sandra Lee on August 14, 2013, in Mansfield. Robert and Sandra shared 15 happy years together. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching football, especially his favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys, traveling, grilling out, and being a professional weekend piddler. He loved his family, and his work family. Along with the people he was able to meet along the way, as he never met a stranger.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Ina Mary and Frank; his nephew, Chandler Fossett; his sister, Rebecca Sue Fossett; his father-in-law, Denis F. Flanagan; his brother and sister-in-law, Denis and Monica Flanagan; his grandson, August Smalley.
Those left to cherish Robert’s memory are his wife of over 12 years, Sandra Fossett; his daughters, Elizabeth Moon, Rachael Moon, and Marison Fossett; his sons, Jaymes Moon, Andrew Moon, Isaiah Fossett, James Fowler, John Fowler, Jeremy and Heather Fowler, and Joel Fowler; his grandchildren, Hudson, Natalie, Brylen, Crimson, Oliver, Sage, Wednesday, and Mercy; his brother, Steve Fossett; his niece and nephews, Arlee Meredith Fossett, Tommy Fleming, and Bradley Daniels; his mother-in-law, Sandra Gentile Flanagan; his sister-in-law, Bernice Flanagan and fiancé, Andy Kimball; the mother of the Fossett and Moon children, Donna S. Fossett; along with countless other loving family members and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathered at Twisted Rose on Friday, November 14, 2025. Come and go 11-3. Please join us as we celebrate Robert’s life over food, fellowship, and a slide show highlighting his life and his loves.
