E.W. "Sonny" Rawdon, 88, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Skyvue Funeral Home. Service: 11:00am Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Skyvue Funeral Home. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale, TX.
Sonny was born on June 4, 1933 to George and Vera Rawdon (Wright) in Miles, TX. He married Lois Rawdon on August 15, 1953 and then went on to serve in the United States Army until 1961.
He was a member of VFW post 8911 and he loved to hunt fish, sing karaoke and dirt track racing.
Sonny is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Rawdon; daughter, Debbie Young; Paul Rawdon, Anna Brown, Elmer Rawdon, Audrey Griffith, Ray Rawdon, Leroy Rawdon, and "Buddy" Thommy Gerald.
He is survived by his sons, Larry and Sharon Rawdon , Jerry and Terry; sisters, Bobbie Nelson, Jean Richardson, "Sissy" Ellen Wagner; grandchildren and their spouses, James Troy-Cherry Rawdon, Valeria-Jake Sims, Christie-Tim Horn, Britton-Christina Morse, Clint Young, Justin Rawdon, Dillon Rawdon, Kacey Rawdon, Jeremy-Denise Morse, lacey-Travis Andrews, Misty Floyd; great-grandchildren, Brittany Rawdon, Taylor Rawdon, Branden Rawdon, Katelyn Rawdon, Mckenzee Rawdon, Colby Rawdon, Rogan Rawdon, Callie Rawdon, Lea Rawdon, Corey Rawdon, Texas Rawdon, Oaklee Rawdon, Alyssa Swearengon, Chelsy Hartmen, Payten Smith, Anna and Auroras Morse, Luke and Logan Sims, Dyson Wheeler, Cale Rawdon, Addy Rawdon, Brynlee Rawdon, Sawyer Rawdon; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
