Mary Elizabeth Pitts

A legend was born on July 13, 1977 at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Shortly after birth, Big Mary left Dallas, Texas. She moved to Grand Prairie, Texas that became her hometown. She was born to Mary Elizabeth West Pitts and Bernard Pitts.

She attended school in Arlington, Texas. As she was growing up, she took interest in doing hair until her last day here on September 7, 2021.

God called her home to reunite with her loved ones and friends, especially her first born son Devonta Pitts. Also preceding her in death are her grandmothers, Willie West and Mildred Pitts; her grandfathers, Floyd Allen and Lonnie Pitts; and one niece, Katrice Pitts.

She leaves behind her mother, Mary Elizabeth West Pitts of Arlington, Texas; her father Bernard Pitts of Grand Prairie, Texas; her six children, Tiameria Pitts, Dakari Pitts, Dakyron Pitts, Kaimeria Pitts, Dakyress Pitts and Aameria Pitts, all of Arlington, Texas; two foster children, Edward Thomas and E’Harmony Thomas; three sisters, Mildred Pitts and Amanda Pitts of Arlington, Texas, Melissa Pitts of Grand Prairie, Texas; 15 nieces and nephews and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and forever friends.
