In Loving Memory of Pedro "Pete" Piñeda
Pedro "Pete" Piñeda, born on September 11, 1965, in Dallas, TX, peacefully passed away on January 19, 2024. He was the cherished son of Prudencio Piñeda, Sr. and Maria De Los Angeles Felix Piñeda.
Pete devoted 24 years of his life to Rehrig Pacific Co. in Dallas, TX, and later embarked on entrepreneurship, establishing his own small business, Allstar Upholstery. His career journey also led him to explore various other jobs that suited his needs, showcasing his adaptability and strong work ethic.
Beyond his professional life, Pete found joy in refurbishing furniture, fixing classic cars, and fishing – connecting with nature. His love for rock and roll music, with Van Halen as a favorite, marked numerous concert experiences. Pete created lasting memories through trips, especially with his girls, to Oklahoma, South Texas, McAllen, Corpus Christi, and beach outings with cherished family and friends. His infectious smile and distinguished laughter left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Pete had a love for all sports, particularly football. He was an avid supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and took great pleasure in heckling fans of opposing teams. Known for his fun-loving nature, Pete was a master at good-natured banter, and people always came back for more of his lively exchanges. A luminary graduate of L.G. Pinkston, Pete achieved Valedictorian in the Class of 1984.
Pete is preceded in death by his brother Angel Piñeda, father Prudencio Piñeda, and grandmother Carmen Felix "Ama Felix." He is also reunited with his beloved dogs Maggie and Weda.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughters and son-in-law: Valerie Piñeda, Jennifer and Jonathan Vaughn, Angela Piñeda, and Alissa Piñeda. Pete is survived by his sisters and spouses: Anna M. and Walt Villareal, Yolanda Riesterer, Gloria and Arturo Torres, Irma and Jaime Esquivel, Rosie and Frank Requena; brothers and spouses: Juan and Licha Piñeda, Arturo Piñeda, Prudencio Jr. and Lydia Piñeda, Richard and Betty Piñeda, Robert and Marisol Piñeda, Rudy and Taryn Piñeda, and Salvador Piñeda. Grandchildren Brooke, Kylie, Evelyn, Joaquin, Abigail, and Alaina brought immense joy to Pete's life.
Fun memories linger in the hearts of numerous nieces, nephews, cherished relatives, and supportive neighbors who stood by Pete during his valiant health battle. Special thanks to Joel, Josie Piñeda, caring neighbors, and affectionate cousins for their unwavering support.
As we celebrate Pete's remarkable journey, let's embrace the echoes of his laughter, the warmth of his love, and his exceptional friendship. Though Pete may be physically absent, the indelible imprints of his affectionate spirit will forever illuminate the cherished memories he leaves behind, carrying a spirit of dignity, strength, and love.
