Patsy JoAnn Walker, born on August 7, 1939, in Antler, Oklahoma, passed away on September 29, 2026. She lived a life marked by intellect, compassion, and quiet creativity, offering her gifts generously to both her profession and those closest to her.
Patsy devoted her working life to the callings of psychiatrist and teacher, roles that speak to a person of insight, patience, and deep care for others. In each, she brought knowledge and understanding to the lives she touched. Her commitment to learning was reflected in earning her master’s degree, an achievement that helped shape the thoughtful and purposeful path she followed.
Beyond her professional life, Patsy found expression in painting. Through that interest, she embraced beauty and imagination, adding another dimension to a life that balanced service, discipline, and artistry.
She is survived by her children: her daughter, Clarissa Hobbs, and her sons, Allen Hobbs, Rodger Hobbs, and Adam Hobbs. In their lives, and in the family she cherished, her presence endures with lasting meaning. May her memory remain a source of comfort, gratitude, and love to those who knew her and to those who carry her forward.
