Patrick Rabbitt

Aug 19, 1939 — Sep 20, 2026

Patrick Rabbitt, born August 19, 1939, passed away on September 20, 2026.

Patrick lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, work, and the pursuits that brought him joy. He was a graduate of Will Rodgers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Oklahoma State. He also served his country with honor as an Army 1st Lieutenant from November 1962 to November 1964.

Over the years, Patrick built a career that included work with Johnson & Johnson, Western Company of North America, and Mattel Toys. He brought the same steady commitment to his professional life that he carried into the many other parts of his life.

One of the great blessings of Patrick’s life was his marriage to Sandra Suzanne Rabbitt. The two were married on July 1, 1961, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, beginning a shared journey that remained a cherished part of his story. His faith was also central to who he was. He attended Trinity United Methodist in Arlington and later First Methodist Mansfield in Mansfield. He found meaning in spending time with Jesus and in his devotionals, and that spiritual foundation was evident in the way he lived.

Patrick embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. He enjoyed distance running, coaching the Heatwave girls’ soccer club, traveling to Germany, listening to music, and spending time with those he loved. These interests reflected a man who stayed engaged with the world around him and found happiness in both activity and quiet reflection.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Rabbitt, and Stephen’s wife, Rayna; his sister, Mary Little, and her husband, John; his grandson, Brady Rabbitt, and Brady’s wife, Eleana; his granddaughter, Rachel Rabbitt; his great-grandchildren, Jade and Margot; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind the love and memory of these family members, whose lives were enriched by his presence and whose hearts will carry him forward with affection and gratitude.

Patrick was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Suzanne Rabbitt, and daughter, Jennifer Rabbitt. Their memory remained part of his life, and he now rests in their company.
