Norman Maxwell of Joshua, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the age of 83, with his loving family by his side.

Norman was born to Joseph Ivan Maxwell and Opal Honeycutt on August 21, 1939 in Cleburne, Texas.
He retired from National Linen Services in Fort Worth after 28 years and Johnson County Precinct 2 after 10 years.
He loved hunting, cooking on the smoker he built himself, working on his classic and antique vehicles, going to car shows, but mostly spending time with his family and friends. He was an incredibly hard worker all of his life, was a very respectful man and instilled that same respect in his children. He loved being a grandparent. Norman lived life to the fullest and brought joy to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marlene Maxwell of Joshua, Texas; son, Eddie Maxwell and wife Jimmie of Godley, Texas; daughter, Carol Wyatt and husband Monty of Godley, Texas; step-daughter, Tracy Jones and husband Terry of Joshua, Texas. Grandchildren: Jody Maxwell and wife Janet of Godley, Texas; Ashley Anderson of Gordon, Texas; Keri Lenz and husband Terry of Godley, Texas; Brad Cappers and wife Brittanye of Godley, Texas; Justin Jones of Grand Prairie, Texas; and Theo Jones and spouse Oliver of Marion, North Carolina. Great-Grandchildren: Ryanne, Reagan and Preston Maxwell, Brooklyn and Brianne Anderson, Kenneth, Kole, Kane and wife Miryah and Shae Cappers; one sister, Hazel Westerman of Cleburne, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
