Miguel Angel Sandoval, affectionately known as Mikey, was born on November 16, 1997, in Fort Worth, Texas, and left this world all too soon on January 21, 2026. He was a cherished son, a devoted brother, and a beloved friend, whose presence reached deeply into the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Mikey's career as a pastry chef showcased his talents in restaurant hospitality, where his creativity flourished and his passion for cooking brought joy to many. Beyond his professional achievements, Miguel’s life was marked by a profound devotion to his family and friends. He was a wonderful baby brother, always putting the needs of others above his own. Those who had the honor of knowing him remember his kindness and the unwavering support he offered without hesitation.
His dedication to family was evident in the love he shared with his father, Heliodoro Sandoval, and his sisters, Raffy Sandoval and her husband Alex Espeleta, Liz Sandoval-Brown and her husband Robert Brown, Ivonne Sandoval and her husband Miguel Vazquez, Patricia Sandoval and her husband Jorge Sandoval, and Brenda Sandoval and her husband Michael Littlejohn. Mikey was also a protective brother to Elio Sandoval and JR Sandoval, who appreciated his wisdom and guidance throughout their lives.
Mikey's legacy continues through his nieces, Gabrielle Avile, Elexandra Avile, Allyson Espeleta, Leah Figueroa, Ellen Hogan, and Natally Vazquez, as well as his nephews, Kyan Sandoval, Landon Figueroa, Leo Leon, Layton Figueroa, Phillip Hogan, Marcus Leon, Achillius Leon, and Houston Brown. To them, he was not just an uncle but a mentor and a source of endless joy.
His passions extended beyond the kitchen; he found solace in reading, pursued personal fitness with enthusiasm, and spent countless hours immersed in video games. Yet, it was his capacity to love deeply and be fully present in every moment that defined his spirit. Mikey was known for being attuned to his surroundings, a trait that enabled him to connect with people on a level that few could achieve. He had a gift for brightening the days of those around him, whether through his culinary creations or simply his warm smile and infectious laughter.
Miguel was preceded in death by his loving mother, Maria Espino, who understood the heart of her son and instilled in him the values of compassion and strength. Though their time together in this life was cut short, the bond they shared transcends the boundaries of time and space.
Mikey’s best friend, Carlos Delgado, was a constant in his life, sharing many adventures and memories that will forever live on in their hearts.
As we gather to remember this extraordinary soul, the services will be held on January 29, 2026, at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
