Michael Dee Childers went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 7, 2023, in Burleson, Texas at the age of 75. 

Michael was born on February 3, 1948, in Wood County, Texas to D.J. Childers and Trudie Mae Childers (Dodson).  Michael enjoyed cooking to the point that he Owned and Operated Old Timer Restaurant. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Texas in Arlington.  Michael also achieved the title of an Ordained Baptist Minister.  He served our country in the United States Marine Corp and became a Private First Class.  He was a member of Park Temple Baptist Church in Fort Worth. 

Michael was welcomed into Heaven by those who had preceded him in passing which include his parents, DJ and Trudie Childers; sister, Sandy Tuttle; daughter, Michelle Childers; granddaughter, Chelsea Haydon.

Those left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his daughters, Amanda and husband Jason Moore, Kailey Renae Keeler; son, Chad and wife Jeannie Childers; sisters, Gail and husband Pete Hennessy, Sherry and Ronny Knapp; grandchildren, Evan, Christy, Cameron, Lance and Chance; nephews, Jason Hennessy and Casey Tuttle; along with other family and friends.
