Warren Harold Mcconathy

Warren Harold McConathy, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Alexandria, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the age of 80.

Celebration of Life Service: 2:00pm Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Heritage Baptist Church 5100 Parliament Dr. Arlington, Texas 76017.
Lunch will be provided at the church for family starting at 12:00pm.

Warren was born on March 22, 1942 in Oakdale, Louisiana to Harold McConathy and Joy Geneva Wheat.
After graduating high school, Warren went on to attend Louisiana State University of Alexandria. He served in the Louisiana National Guard from 1962-1968. Once him and his family relocated to Texas, he joined the Texas National Guard and attended Arlington Baptist College. He then became a truck driver and traveled the roads until he retired.

Warren was a great man of faith and no matter where life took him, he always attended church. Some churches he was a part of over the years include: Emmanuel Baptist, Airbase Road, Bethel Baptist, Trinity Baptist, Hillcrest Park Baptist, South Center Baptist, Grace Temple, and finally Heritage Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas where he was a faithful member for 26 years.

In his free time, he loved to drive his stock car at races, hunting and shooting guns, attending events to support his grandkids and great-grandkids, going on cruises with his wife Jennie, going to Six Flags and to the State Fair.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Joy Wheat Stafford; father, Harold McConathy; step-father, Carter Stafford; cousin, Ronnie Saxon; grandsons, Warren Harold McConathy III, Ryan Herbert McConathy; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Warren is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jennie Marie (Honore) McConathy; daughters, Lynn McConathy, Jenna Marie (McConathy) Rhodes and Sam Rhodes, Holley Susan (McConathy) Bailey and Michael “Beetle” Bailey; sons, Warren Harold “Chip” McConathy, Herb Carter McConathy; grandchildren, Amanda McConathy, Cody McConathy, Rasheed “Roscoe” Mohammed, Bo and Lizzie Sutton, Grant and Jordan Wheeler, Austin Foster and Raven Phoenix, Vickie and Charles Utley, Foch Bailey; great-grandchildren, Darren and Aliyah Redding, Jaxon Sutton, Haven, Serenity and Olivia Wheeler, Robin and Aiden Foster, Kayden “Kajun” Foy and Charlie Utley; other special family members and close friends, Jackie Gormanous and family, Cindy Saxon and family, Nita Fay Roberts and family, Terry Wheat and family, Wanda Wheat, The St. John family, Sharon Kelly and family, Lisa Sawetelle, David and Linda Box, Gage, Eugene and numerous others.
