Mary Tinney

Mary Tinney, of Crowley, Texas, has gone to be with her Lord on May 14, 2024, at the age of 71.

Mary was born on October 26,1952, to Mary Freeman and Jessie L. Modgling in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Trimble Tech High School and worked in retail management. She married Cecil James Tinney Jr. on July 14, 2000, in Saginaw, Texas. Mary was a member of Open Door Church, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, and her dogs. Mary showed unconditional love and support for not only her family, but anyone who met her.

Mary is preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents, Jessie L. and Mary Modgling; her sister, Ruth Ann Hannah; her brother, johnny Lee Modgling.

Mary is survived by her husband of 23 years, Cecil James Tinney, of Crowley, Texas; her daughters, Stephany René Brown, of Saginaw, Texas, Christy Akhurst, of Gloucestershire, UK, Brandy Tinney, of Crowley, Texas; her son, Robert Brown, of Paradise, Texas; her sisters, Linda and Rusty Nelms, Dianne and Steve Pitts, Patricia and Tommy Newsom; her brother, Charles Modgling; her grandchildren, Kelcie and Bo Slaton, Jordan Brown, Tierney and Riley Fuller, Courtney Collette, Brennen Collette, Phoebe Akhurst, Cheyenne Morelock; her many nieces and nephews; her family friends, Renee and Jeff.
