Mark Sullivan

Mark Anthony Sullivan, born to the parentage of Azie B. and Ida Mae Sullivan, July 17, 1958. He was the eighth child of eleven to this union. 

Mark was a member of Bold Spring Baptist Church since early childhood later years became a member of the Rebirth Church. Mark loved his church and attended regularly until his health prevented him from attending, he did continue to follow on Facebook and Zoom line calls. He was diligent in paying his tithes and offerings as well as contributing to every program and/or event going on at the church. Mark faithfully believed in prayer and would always talk with his Pastor and 1st Lady requesting prayer at the end of each conversation. He would say and believed that “prayer changes things”.

Mark attended high schools in West. He was an outstanding athlete during his high school years. He won Outstanding Championship in the High Jump category, Star Running Back on the football team, basketball player, track star and hurdle jump for the West High Trojans.

Mark loved his family and friends and was there 100% if you needed his assistance with any task or support in any problem. He was an all rounded “Jack of all trades”.

Mark married Rosalind Stradford on December 30, 2000, and would have celebrated 25 years of marriage this coming December.

Preceded in death is his baby boy Travis, his parents, parental grandparents John and Dora Sullivan, maternal grandparents Reverend Richard Taylor and Fannie Mae Moore. Siblings: Kathy, Aubrey, Earnestine, and Anita.

Mark leaves to cherish his memories: Wife Rosalind, Daughters: Markesha and Tamekka, two grandchildren: Da’Lyn and Pharra and one great granddaughter: ZaRiyah, Brothers: Dr. Sammy Sullivan Sr. (Brenda) Clifton Sullivan (Paula) Wayne Sullivan (DeAndrea) Howard Sullivan (Dorinda)., Sisters: Nina Shelby and Trudy Avent. Sister-in-law Rhonda Stanton. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
