Mark Ray Smith

Mark Ray Smith of Alvarado, Texas laid his hard-working hands to rest on May 27, 2026, at the age of 58. 

Mark was born October 11, 1967, in Arlington, Virginia to Loren Smith and Shirley Byram (Reynolds). He married Cynthia Ann Smith (Thomas) January 27, 1988, in Mansfield, Texas. He worked for Horton's Tree Service and was a lifetime member of Rendon Fire Department.  Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and loved the outdoors. He was a blackbelt in American Taekwondo.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Loren Ray Smith; mother, Shirley Byram; sister, Lisa Reedy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Cynthia Ann Smith; daughters, Amanda Simpson and Miranda Hankis; son, Mark Ray Smith Jr.; brother, Tracy and wife Tonya Smith; grandchildren, Robert Simpson Jr., Emille Simpson, Aaron Simpson and Aodhan Hankis.
