Margarette Louise White

Queen Margarette White was born February 13, 1948, to the parentage of Ellon Mckinney and Louis Smith in Waxahachie, Texas.

She attended school in Waxahachie School District.

She united in holy matrimony with Paul White and was married for 49 years. To this union 3 children were born.

She was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Baptist Church since 2004. There she was an active servant in the seasoned saints Nursing Health Ministry and Young Adult Mentor.

She had such a love for the Nursing that she dedicated her life to making sure people were restored back to good health. She received an Associates in Nursing from Amarillo College and BSN at TWU. Here she became the Valedictorian for the class of 1994. She started working at Methodist Hospital of Dallas September 17, 1973, until she retired. She was one of the toughest soldiers but showed discipline and grace with class and elegance. She brought value to any place or community that she stepped in.

She entered eternal rest on June 8, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul White; mother, Ellon Byrd Mckinney; father, Louis Jewel Smith; sister, Patrecia Y. Smith-Alexander; brother, Theodore Hayes

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Bonnye Handy, Kimberly White, Paul White Jr.; brother, James Smith (Regina); grandchildren, Jilliuan Jeffrey (Joseph), Jessica Scott, Darrian Scott; 1 great grandchild, My’Kel Daitreion Bold; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
