We are sad to announce the passing of Dan Luper. Dan was born in Lake Worth, Texas June 10th, 1957. Dan was a big-hearted, selfless man. He served in the Navy followed by serving in the Army Reserves for 19 years. He served in multiple wars saving lives and rescued hostages in the Iraq war. Dan was a very accomplished medic and known as Techcan Dan and played in a Christian band, Wells Spring, on the ship playing overseas bringing God to many people on and off the ship. He was an accomplished pilot during his service time and loved to take his wife up when time allowed. He gave up his service to his country to be home with his family and serve his community by fostering hundreds of kids for over 35 years. Dan and his wife adopted 7 children during their 47 years of marriage. Dan was a pastor and served the church as well as being a substitute teacher and doing work with the Burleson Police Department. He was a very loving and Godly man who loved his family and friends fiercely. Dan was a very hard-working man and was dearly loved by all his coworkers. Dan will be very missed by many as he brought love, laughter, and God to everyone he met. Dan left us to go to his heavenly home February 20th, 2023.
Funeral: 11:00 am Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Rendon Baptist Church with visitation to start at 10:00 am. Burial: 1:00 pm Monday, March 6, 2023, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Survivors: Spouse, Jill Luper; daughters, Kristin Longley, Kati Luper, Jaclyn Luper, Sara Luper, Sabrina Luper and Jamie Luper; sons, Jason Luper and wife April, Daniel Luper and wife Crystal, and Troy Luper; sister, Karen Luper; Larry Taylor and wife Sheryl, Bill Hepburn and wife Phyllis which are dear friends whom he considered as family; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
