Johnie Robert Long, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the age of 74.

Johnie was born on August 17, 1948 in Houston, Texas to Johnie W. Long and Charlsie V. Shirley.
He attended and graduated from Mexia High School and then when on to join the Honorable United States Air Force where he went through draftsman and x-ray technician school.
After serving in the Air Force, Johnie worked for Fort Worth Bone and Joint, Cooks Children's Hospital and Cooks Children's in Mansfield, Texas.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Johnie's caring spirit is going to be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnie and Charlsie Long; sons, Jessie King and Keith Long.
Johnie is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley Long; daughters, Gayle and Macky Prewitt, Elaine and Mike Barnes; sisters, Susan and Tony Sulser, Sherie and Stace Carrington; grandchildren, Delaine Baker, Steven Prewitt, Ashley Barnes, Austin Barnes, Kaylee Long, Kendall Egloff, Joshua King, Jennifer Dousay, Jeremy King; and numerous other family members and loving friends.
