Lonetta Chloe Jordan

Lonetta Chloe Jordan, better known as Chlo, has gained her heavenly wings on June 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Chlo was born to Herman (HW) Gibbs and Lonetta Faye Matthews in Dallas, Texas, on December 4, 1938.

Chlo graduated from Arlington High School and a variety of jobs over the years, including, Mom, Granna, florist, and school secretary at BISD. On January 18, 1957, Chlo married her love, Preston Jordan, and they remained married until his passing in 2023. She was a charter member of Fielder Road Baptist in Arlington and attended Retta Baptist. She was also affiliated with Rainbow Girls, was a Girls Scouts of America Troop Leader, and a neighborhood chairman. Chlo was active and loved life. She could often be found sewing, was known for raising pugs, exploring new places and traveling, and always being with her children and grandchildren.

Chlo was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Preston Jordan; uncle, Gerald Patton; cousin, Gary Patton; niece Sharon Roughton.

Those left to cherish Chlo's memory are her daughter, Jana Shaw and husband Ken Shaw; son, Jason Jordan; grandchildren, Breahna Jordan and husband Zachary Brasfield, Cody Jordan, Brennan Coulter; nephew, Brian Roughton; other family and special friends, Kay Whitley (lifelong friend), Sherrill Patton, Jennifer Patton Underwood; and many more family and friends too numerous to name.
