Linda Walton Shockley

Linda Walton Shockley, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend of Alvarado, TX, passed away on May 28, 2023 at Arlington Medical Center in Arlington, TX. She was born on August 30, 1947 in Orange County, IN to parents Ernie Walton and Rebecca (Newlin) Walton. Linda was a loving wife to Don Shockley whom she married on September 17, 1979.

In 2019 Linda retired from her job as a truck driver for Poly Trucking in Grand Prairie, TX. She had an unwavering faith in God and was a devoted member of the Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Alvarado. She also graduated from Paoli High School class of 1965.

Linda's passing leaves us with great sadness but also cherished memories. Her wonderful spirit will always be remembered by her loved ones including her husband Don Shockley; mother Rebecca Walton; sons Kevin Pritchard (Evelyn) and Trinity Shockley (Stephanie); step-children Tamra Johnson (Fred), Reki Duncan (Curtis), and Donnie Shockley (Tonya); grandchildren Madalyn, Katie, and Tommy; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; seven sisters Diane Scott (Tom), Betty Eastridge (Dale), Janet Eastridge (Jerry), Patricia Buchanan, Wanda Dupuis (Thom), Mary Cambell (Freddy), and Donna Hill (Marty); two brothers Ernie Ray Walton (Pam) and Douglas Walton (Bonita).

Linda was preceded in death by her dear son Matthew Todd who she cherished dearly along with her father Ernie Walton and step-son Joe Shockley.

A visitation for Linda will be held on Saturday June 3rd, 2023 from noon to 2 PM at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli, IN. The funeral will take place at the same location with Bro. Harvey McAdams officiating.

A separate visitation and chapel service will be held on June 10, 2023 for Linda at Skyvue Funeral Home where she will be laid to rest at Skyvue Memorial Gardens in Mansfield, TX.

We will always remember Linda for her unwavering faith and kind spirit. Her friendship, guidance, and compassion will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace as we hold onto the everlasting memories of her beautiful life.
