Tym Lerma

Tym Lerma, of Burleson, TX, formerly of Odessa, TX, passed away of Friday, October 29, 2021 at the age of 47.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, November 4, 2021 with a Rosary Service at 7:00pm at Skyvue Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 10:00am Friday, November 5, 2021 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Burleson, TX 76028. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens.

Tym always said he might not be rich in money, but he was rich in family and friends. Tym was an amazing husband, loving father, and the very best friend to everyone he met. He had the personality that would light up a room and made friends wherever he went.

Tym met the love of his life and best friend Wendy in 1996, and they were married in 2000. They had a strong, loving, and playful marriage, and they loved each other deeply.

The love for their daughter Patricia was like no other. They were two peas in a pod from the beginning and they also shared their love for Volkswagens.

Tym loved cooking and entertaining for his family and friends. Anyone that knew Tym also knew of his love for Volkswagens and that he was the biggest fan of the Chicago Cubs. Tym’s love for Volkswagens started when he was a little boy, and never waivered. He combined his love for Volkswagens and photography in the past several years and he developed very close relationships with several Volkswagen communities. He also found his passion for photography and started his successful photography business. His clients became his family. So many people and groups have been blessed by his artistry. Tym loved cheering for the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys, he was a loyal fan to both.

Tym was an exceptional person, everyone who knew him knew they had a true loyal friend for life. We were all so blessed to have had him in our lives, and we are all better people because of him.

Tym is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose Angel DeLaO, Maximo and Estanislada Lerma.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Lerma; precious daughter, Patricia Lerma; parents, Ruben and Gloria Lerma; mother-in-law, Valerie Gray; sister, Ruby Lerma, sister-in-law, Trisha Gutierrez; brothers, Jere Lerma (Andrea), Rudy Lerma (Laura); brother-in-law, Hunter Gray; grandmother, Marcelina DeLaO; many uncles, aunts, cousins; 11 nieces; 10 nephews; 16 great niece and nephews; Godparents, Guillermo and Paul Lerma, Raul Lerma, Domingo Lerma, Gabriel and Hope Espinoza; pallbearers, Gabriel Espinoza, Gabriel Espinoza Jr., Evan Espinoza, Hunter Gray, David Ledford, Josh Caudill; and too many friends to count.
