Lenise Robinson

August 21, 1959 — December 13, 2025

Lenise Joy Robinson was born on August 21, 1959, at Burton Mercy Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, to Beverly Robinson and the late Robert Robinson. She was the eldest of four children. Lenise was educated in the Detroit Public School System and graduated from Cass Technical High School, where she excelled academically.

Following high school, Lenise attended Wayne State University, earning a degree in Mortuary Science. She began her professional career as a mortician and funeral director, serving families at Wilson Akins Funeral Home in Detroit, Michigan, and later at Angelic - Webber Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas. Answering a continued calling to care for others, Lenise went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Lenise met Michael Earl Robinson in Detroit, Michigan, and the two were married in 1982 in Grand Prairie, Texas. They established their first home in Arlington, Texas, and in 1990 welcomed their son Jordan. She was a devoted wife and mother, pouring her love, support and unwavering faith into her family.

Professionally, Lenise worked at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, before beginning what would become a more than 30-year career with the Fort Worth Independent School District. She served as the school nurse at Morningside Middle School, where her impact reached far beyond the nurse’s office. Lenise was deeply committed to the well-being of her students, teaching them the importance of health, wellness, and proper nutrition. Her compassion extended beyond the school day—she made home visits when needed and ensured that every student could participate in school activities regardless of their financial circumstances. Her care was genuine, selfless, and transformative. Lenise retired from Morningside Middle School in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of service and love.

Lenise had a passion for traveling, fashion, shopping, decorating and the color red. She was known for her vibrant spirit and had hundreds of friends, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. To know Lenise was to be inspired to become a better person—so much so that family and friends affectionately referred to it as “the Lenise Robinson effect.” Her personality reflected her name, “Joy.” She was kind, loving, thoughtful, humble, and full of life. She walked 3 miles everyday, rain or shine.

Above all, Lenise was a woman of God. She always had the perfect scripture for any season of life and was a devoted and active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where she deeply cherished her church family.

Lenise leaves to cherish her loving husband of 43 years, Michael Robinson; her son, Jordan Robinson (Stacey); her grandsons; her mother, Beverly A. Robinson (the late Robert Robinson); her siblings, Randale Michael Robinson, the late Pamela Lori Robinson, and Royce Robinson (Gaytna); and a host of nieces and nephews. She was also a phenomenal godmother to her beloved godchildren, Carmen and Corey. Lenise leaves behind a multitude of dear friends — many of whom she had known for decades and who proudly called her a best friend.

Lenise had a profound love for her family, and her family had an immeasurable love for her. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church (5415 Matlock Rd., Arlington, TX 76018) on Monday, December 22nd. Family hour will begin at 10am, with the service immediately to follow at 11am.
