Karen Edwards

Karen Edwards was born on May 26, 1957, to Eddie Teamer and Jerleen Teamer. 

Karen dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she compassionately cared for patients and made a meaningful difference in the lives of many. Karen was known for her beautiful smile and warm spirit—she had a way of lighting up any room she walked into.

 She deeply loved her children and grandchildren and treasured the time she spent with them. Karen enjoyed simple moments of joy, whether it was playing dice, cards, or board games with her family. Those who knew her will remember her caring heart, her laughter, and the love she shared with the people closest to her. 

Karen Edwards was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Edwards; her son, Bryson McFadden; her father, Eddie Teamer; her grandson, Enoch, born in the arms of angels; and her siblings, Gary Teamer and Trina Jones.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her children: Detra McFadden, Byron Jones and wife Cynthia Jones, and Breonna Hawkins-Laureano and husband Christopher Laureano.

Karen was a proud grandmother to Aiyanna, Cameron, Jeramiah, Lamar, Benjamin, Felicity, Byron, Torah, Josh, Ian, and Michael, and a great-grandmother to Isaac and Iziri. She is also survived by her mother, Jerleen Teamer, and her sisters Debra Teamer and Sonya Buie. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her.
