Judy Wiegref, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that touched the lives of many. Born on December 27, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, Judy spent her formative years nurturing her spirited personality and cultivating her unwavering commitment to those around her.
After a fulfilling 28-year career with the Joshua Independent School District, Judy retired, embracing the joys of family life and the satisfaction of knowing she had made a difference in the lives of countless children. Her journey led her from her roots in Detroit to the sunny shores of Huntington Beach, California, where she created cherished memories before ultimately settling in Texas.
Judy's heart was boundless, and she was a fierce advocate for her family. She is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn and Jennifer Wiegref, and her sons, Douglas and Audry Wiegref, and Daniel and Ashley Wiegref. She took immense pride in being a grandmother to Larick, Morgan, Trent, Peyton, Aiden, Jazmyn, Kody, Liberty, Nelson, Justice, Camren, Cliffie, Daisy, Paisley, Presleigh, Kinley Lynn, and Kai LaRae. The joy they brought her every day serves as a testament to her nurturing spirit and commitment to family.
Judy was also blessed with the love of her siblings, including sisters, Nancy Holcomb, Jamie and Kenny Sanders, Michelle, Janet and Patty Holcomb, Cheryl and John McCord, and Tracy Wiegref, alongside her brothers, William (Billy) Holcomb and Kimmie Wiegref. An abundance of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews added to her vast network of loved ones, all of whom were touched by her kindness and laughter.
Although Judy joins her husband, Douglas Wiegref, and her parents, Robert Holcomb and Lindel Holcomb, as well as her dearly departed sister and husband, Donna and Perry Roop, and brothers Bobby, Steve Holcomb, and Gregory Wiegref, she remains a guiding presence in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Her memorial service will take place on September 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Skyvue Funeral Home, located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd in Mansfield, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the remarkable life of Judy Wiegref, to share stories, to laugh, and to remember the profound impact she had on everyone who knew her. Judy's spirit, filled with love and compassion, will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.
