Phoenix ""Pj"" Johnson

Phoenix “PJ” Johnson, age 15, of McDonough, GA passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. He was born in Richmond, Virginia to Nahshon Johnson and Lakedia Johnson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Oney Jones, Patricia Johnson; uncle Charles Davis and brother Wesley Johnson.

PJ is survived by; his mother, Lakedia Johnson; father, Nahshon Johnson; mother, Heather Johnson; siblings, Nahshon Johnson Jr, Savannah Johnson, and George Johnson; grandparents, Janet and George Moses, Samuel Johnson, Annie Davis and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

PJ enjoyed spending time with his siblings playing video games of which his favorite was Call of Duty. He frequently played against his younger brother George and both would enthusiastically declare they were the best player. Phoenix was a very quiet individual but with a great and unexpected sense of humor. He was proficient at teasing his twin sister Savannah and looked up to his older brother JR, with whom he shared an interest in fast cars. PJ was very creative and frequently wrote adventure stories. He always dressed to impress and was never shy about showing off his latest dance moves. He was a straight A student, and had aspirations of attending Virginia Tech University.

PJ also enjoyed anime, playing board and card games with his family and teaching himself how to play guitar. He enjoyed and excelled at running track. His favorite snack was Lay’s potato chips. Most importantly, PJ had a deep love for his family and cherished the time they spent together playing practical jokes on each other, and enjoying family dinners together.
