Javier Garcia, lovingly known as Javi, passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 59. He was born on July 3, 1967, in Mission, Texas, and will be remembered with deep love by all who knew him.
Javi was a graduate of Mission High School, Class of 1986. He went on to work in aircraft production with HAC Aircraft Production. Outside of work, he found joy in woodwork, playing Wahoo with his family, listening to music, and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Marilynn Garcia, and by his children, Stephanie Valdez, Toby Shane Valdez and his wife, Crystal Lopez, Toby Owens Valdez Garcia, and Joseph Garcia. He is also survived by his mother, Elisa Garcia.
Javi also leaves behind a large and loving family of siblings: Jose Garcia III, Maria A. Gonzales, Juana Vasquez, Elisa Salazar, Rolando Garcia, Rogelio Garcia, Guadalupe Garcia, Abel Garcia, Gilbert Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia, and Josie Zermeño. His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren, Alexis Valdez-Carrasco, Veronica Carrasco, Zoey Ramirez, Priscilla Valdez, Ian Valdez, Jaylen Napier, Brian Montoya and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Lois Smith; his sisters-in-law, Carol Bullard and Melinda Long; and his friends Janet Love, Karen Harrod, and Dave Brown. Each of them shared in the life and friendship that made Javi so special, and his memory will remain close to their hearts.
A memorial service will be held on October 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Grace Street Fellowship Church, 1516 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, Texas 76013.
