Janet Elizabeth McCollins

Ms. Janet E. McCollins has been called to her Heavenly home, June 15, 2025, at the age of 83.

Janet was born on a beautiful October 10th day in 1941, to parents James Reed and Ruthie Mae Williams Reed in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended FWISD and graduated from I.M. Terrell. Janet was well loved during her career and retired from FWISD as a bus driver. She attended and was baptized at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Janet was a vibrant, spirited, yet simple woman. She enjoyed going to casinos and spending quality time with the ones she loved.

Janet is welcomed into Heaven by her mother, Ruthie Mae Simmons; father, James Reed; sons, Clifford and Hosea Johnson; sister, Audrey Simmons.

Those left to cherish and keep Janets memory alive are her daughters, Tanya Liggins, Lischa (James) Oliver; sisters, Mary Neal, Sandra (Timothy) Milton Sr., Carol (Melvin) Reed, Donna Reed; grandchildren, Wilischa, Lacie, Willie, Portia, Erika, Hosea IV (Kourtney); great grandchildren, Briana, Carrington, Jordan, Dante, Kaiden, Lil. Charles, Wyatt, Eryn, Kalani; great-great grandchild, Danni; nephew, LaDerek and wife Trina Simmons; aunt, Albertine and husband Charles Middlebrook; special friends, Schenea Thompson, Sharon Bailey; and a host of family and friends that loved her dearly.
