James Michael Wright was called to his Heavenly home on October 11, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 62.
James was born on November 4, 1961, in San Augustine, Texas to the Late Ms. LuElla Jones (Canton) and Mr. James Truitt Wright. He worked for the United States Government as a Management Program Analyst in the Business Service Specialist Tech Ops Finance Team for over 44 years. James entered Fort Worth ISD at an early age where he went on to graduate from Polytechnic High School in 1980. After graduating High School, he went on to study Accounting at Tarrant County College where he received his C.P.A. He found comfort in Christ at a very young age where he joined Harvey Avenue Baptist Church and served under the leadership of the late Reverend Robert Lee Rogers. James loved to play Bingo, watching western shows and movies as well as spending time with his family and friends.
We, the family, would like to thank our family members that stepped up and became caregivers for James over the last two years. We are so very grateful to you all for your sacrifices. You know who you are, and we would also like to say thanks to all of his coworkers who have reached out, shared their condolences, said a prayer or even a phone call are Text we’d like to thank you to you all.
James was welcomed into Heaven by those who passed before him including his father, Mr. James T. Wright; his mother, Ms. LuElla Canton Jones; one sister, Miss Linda L. Jones of Fort Worth, Texas; five brothers, Samuel S. Jones of San Augustine, Texas, Mr. Leonard Ray Jones, Kenneth E. Jones, Jacquet L. Jones and Leroy Brooks Jr. all of Fort Worth, Texas.
Left To cherish his memory is his brother, Mr. Hubert L. Jones Sr. (Branda) of Fort Worth, Texas; five stepbrothers, Mr. John Brooks, Jerry Matlock Sr. of Fort Worth, Texas, Mr. Elroy Brooks (Joyce) of Longview, Texas, Mr. Joe Lee Moore, James Matlock of San Augustine, Texas; four sisters, Ann M. Tamplen, Lila B. Smith, Kimberlea B. Woods, Yolanda B. Ish (Morris) of Fort Worth, Texas; one Sister N Luv, Vandra E. Jones of Fort Worth, Texas; four stepsisters, Sharon Palmer Davis (Daniel), Janie M. Brooks and Pamela B. Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas, Lila F Anthony (Johnny) of San Augustine, Texas and Mozell B. Johnson (Winfred) of Longview, Texas; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
