James Edward Crecy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished member of the community, passed away on September 1, 2023. He was born on May 21, 1942, in Kauffman County, Texas. With a heavy heart, we gather here today to celebrate the life and mourn the loss of an exceptional man.
Throughout his life, James made a lasting impact as the proud owner of Edwards Tree Service for over 40 years. His dedication and expertise in tree service transformed countless landscapes and earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. James had an unwavering work ethic that inspired many within the industry and beyond.
While his professional achievements were remarkable, they pale in comparison to the immense love he shared with his family. James was a devoted husband to his loving wife for 35 years marrying his love on June 25, 1988, Sally Crecy. Their bond served as an example of unconditional love and unwavering support that lasted through the ups and downs of life.
James was blessed with a beautiful family. His memory will forever live on through his daughters Rhonda Johnson, Martha Renee Ruiz, Katie and Dell Brown, Vicki and Ricky Pierce; sons James Crecy Jr., Rocky Allan Crecy; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. His presence brought joy to their lives and his legacy will continue to inspire them.
Outside of work and family life, James found solace in nature's embrace. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting trips immersed in the beauty of wildlife, casting lines under open skies while fishing in serene waters, and reconnecting with nature through camping adventures. These hobbies provided him with moments of tranquility that stayed close to his heart.
As we bid farewell to James today at LifePointe Church in Crowley, Texas—a place where he found spiritual peace—we reflect on the significant impact he made on our lives. The Celebration of Life service will take place on September 9th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 120 S Crowley Rd, Crowley, TX 76036.
James Edward Crecy touched the lives of everyone he encountered and left an indelible mark on his community. His spirit of generosity, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we grieve his departure, let us find solace in our memories and honor his life by carrying forward the love and compassion he embodied.
In this time of immense loss, let us come together as a community to support one another and offer comfort to those who loved James. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we always hold him dear in our hearts.
