Jack Manham Riley Jr., born on November 16, 1952, in Navasota, Texas, passed away on July 3, 2026, in Crowley, Texas. With a life marked by dedication, faith, and love for his family and friends, Jack leaves behind a legacy cherished deeply by all who knew him.
Jack’s journey began in the warm community of Navasota, where he was born to his devoted parents, Jack Riley and Bessie Riley. He grew up surrounded by the support and affection of his family, learning early the values that would guide him throughout his life. Jack’s faith was a cornerstone of his character; those who spent time with him know how much he loved Jesus, and how that faith shaped his outlook and actions every day.
Professionally, Jack was known as a truck driver. His career suited his independent spirit and steadfast work ethic. Colleagues and friends alike remember Jack’s diligence, reliability, and the pride he took in a job well done. Yet, Jack’s passions extended beyond his profession—few things brought him as much joy as fishing, tackling yard work, or taking to the road behind the wheel of his truck. These pursuits were not just hobbies; they were reflections of his appreciation for simple pleasures and his enjoyment of life’s journey.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Sr. and Bessie Riley.
At the heart of Jack’s world was his family. He shared an enduring bond with his wife, Brenda Sue Riley, who stood by him faithfully through life’s many chapters. His love for his children, April McGinty, Daniel Brigman and wife Libby, and Michael Brigman and wife Jan, was abundant and unwavering. Jack’s support and guidance shaped their lives in immeasurable ways, a testament to his strength as a father.
Jack is further survived by his sisters, Patricia and Irene, as well as a wonderful group of grandchildren—Crystal Medders and husband Michael, Nancy Kay Comer and husband Cody, and William Brigman—each of whom brought him pride and continued joy. His life was further brightened by his great-grandchildren: Paisley Medders, Aubrey Medders, Ella Grace Medders, Cotton Medders, and Kyleigh Comer, who will continue to be inspired by his example. Jack also leaves behind nieces Sally and Angela, nephews Ricky and Jesse, along with extended Family, Nancy McGinnis and husband Mark, Tracy Rene Parker, Bobbie Ann, Ddeidra Lane Carol, Courtny Parker, and Julia Taggort, all of whom held special places in his heart.
Throughout his life, Jack’s faith, kindness, and love for those around him did not go unnoticed. He leaves a lasting impression of steadfastness, sincerity, and a commitment to both work and family that will long be remembered by everyone privileged to know him.
Jack Manham Riley Jr. will be missed dearly. His memory lives on in the stories, laughter, and traditions shared by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
