Anne Margaret Burkhard Hunter, 85, of Burleson Texas passed away from COVID related complications.
Her graveside service will be held at 11:00am Friday, July 29, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (Lane 1) in Dallas, Texas.
She was born April 3, 1937 to the parents James Richard and Margaret Burkhard in Albany New York. She was a graduate from SUNY State University New York with a degree in education. Anne married Kenneth William Hunter on November 12, 1960, in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
Anne had an interesting and rewarding career including working as a social worker, high school history teacher, social security administrator, and adult probation officer. She was an avid reader and member of St Ann’s parish in Burleson, Texas for more than 40 years.
Anne was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Preceded in death by her parents James Richard and Margaret, brother Alfred Emmanuel Smith Burkhard and sister Jean Gennett, husband of 61 years Kenneth William and daughter Erin Hunter Patterson. She is survived by her sons Shawn and Kevin Hunter, daughter Margaret Vick and 10 grandchildren.
