Sandra Ilene Howard entered eternal life on Thursday, January 21st, 2021. Born November 27, 1951. A spitfire girl from Oklahoma-turned Texan-turned Alabamian, Sandi loved her family, her goldendoodle, Cody, wine, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, shopping and Blake Shelton. She’s famous (with her family) for a little red wine and “dish towel dance” in the kitchen. I regret no video is available. Sandi had impeccable style and never met a clothing store she wouldn’t shop in. She could size a person up with one look, which was one of her greatest talents. She was the life of the party and everyone’s best friend. No smile was ever greater on her face, then when she talked about her 10-year-old grandson, Tyler. She showed up; from every school function to the seemingly never-ending weekend baseball tournaments. She rewarded Tyler with $20 for each home run. We won’t talk about the weekend she had to dish out $80. Sandi is also survived by her newest grandchild, Samson, who will enter this world in just one month; husband of 44years, Cliff; daughter Tami Carr; son Chris; sister Sharron Meyer and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to list here, but not forgotten. Services for Sandi are 11 am, Wednesday, January 27th at Skyvue Memorial Gardens, in Mansfield, Texas, followed by a graveside burial. Sandi expects you to be on time, dressed in your best. Sandi will live eternal life with her late father Carl Townsend, mother Mary Margaret, brother Freddie and sister, Carolyn, who died one day before Sandi. Due to COVID, we will not gather after the service. Instead, please consider a donation to The Lung Cancer Research Center.
