Howard Powell, Jr.

Howard Powell, Jr. has peacefully passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 76.

Howard was born on March 5, 1949, in Camden, New Jersey, to Howard Powell, Sr. and Gladys M. Fisher. He graduated high school in Camden, then attended The Art Institue in Philadelphia. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, finishing his service in 1974. He later married Alice Hughes on December 26, 1987, in Desoto, Texas. He loved drawing, fishing, and skating.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Howard, Sr. and Gladys Powell; his sisters, Gladys and Phyllis; his brother, William Powell; his step-daughter, T'shonda A. Hughes.

Those left to cherish Howard's memory are his former wife, Alice Hughes Powell; his daughters, Tierra Powell Hill and Chad Hill, Telicia Powell Avelar and Ernesto Avelar; his step-son, Timothy A. Hughes; his sister, Joyce Powell; his 11 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, and a host of loving family members and friends.
