Danny Lee Hockemeyer Sr.

Danny Lee Hockemeyer Sr., of Burleson, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of 75.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00pm Monday, March 27, 2023 at Skyvue Funeral Home, Mansfield, Texas.
Church Service: 11:00am Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at The Fountains Fellowship Church 812 S. Crowley Rd. Crowley, Texas, 76036.
Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, Texas.

Danny was born on April 15, 1947 in Fulton, Missouri to Albert Hockemeyer (Jake) and Frances McDonald Hockemeyer.

He proudly served in the United Stated Navy from 1965-1968 as a Petty Officer Second Class. After his military service, Danny was a very successful businessman and pastor. He founded Lincoln Baptist Temple in Lincoln, Nebraska, faithfully attended The Fountains Fellowship Church in Crowley, Texas and received his Bachelors of Divinity from Arlington Baptist College.

In his free time, Danny loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, pastor of several churches over the years, and a loving father and grandfather. He is going to be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Danny is preceded in death by his wife, Elvira Hockemeyer; parents, Jake and Frances Hockemeyer.

He is survived by his sons, Danny Lee Hockemeyer Jr., Bryan Hockemeyer and his wife Debbie, Jonathan Hockemeyer and his wife Alex; brothers, Barry Hockemeyer and his wife Rose, Ricky Hockemeyer and his wife Dezra; grandchildren, Delanie Schmidt and her husband Ethan, Jordan Hockemeyer, Ian Hockemeyer, Jacob Hockemeyer and his wife Rylee; great-grandchildren, Mylah Watson, Braxon Schmidt and Fallon Schmidt, Elvira Hockemeyer; and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving church friends.
