Richard Warren Haskell

October 21, 1941 — July 23, 2021

Richard Warren Haskell was born on October 21, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas. Richard wore many hats, including the hat of a Papa and a father. In his younger years, Richard wore the hat of a DJ – DJ Ron Stevens of DFW. He brought music and laughter to many in this role. Before retirement, Richard worked as an electrical engineer, earning his Master Electrician License. In his retirement, he enjoyed driving a school bus for special needs children.

Richard loved to cook; every kid, grandkid, family member and friend was welcome in his kitchen and never left hungry. The family looked forward to his enchiladas, which fed the Haskell family tree for many Christmases. His chicken and dumplings and Trisha Yearwood carrot cake were also a crowd favorite. Richard loved the Lord. One of his most cherished memories is leading each of his children to the Lord. Richard also loved his wife of 50 years, Mary. He loved to laugh, and he loved his family.

Richard passed away on July 23, 2021 in Cleburne, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and two sisters.

He is survived in death by his wife, Mary Haskell, his five children, daughter Patricia Moore, son Curtis Casey and wife Mary King, daughter Vicki Bryant and husband Rodney Bryant, daughter Jane Bedford, son Warren Wayne Haskell and wife Beth Haskell, grandchildren Clayton Grier and wife Jessica, Ethan Grier and wife Brandy, Cody Bryant and wife Savannah, Maci Oppert and husband Ranger, Daniel Crawford, Rhiannan Anderson and husband Taylor, Abigail Vela and husband Jordan, Augustus Haskell, Wesley Stewart and eight great grandchildren.
